Sephora Haul | April 2017

What happens when it’s your birthday, and you have Sephora gift cards to spend? You buy makeup! Today, I’m bringing you my most recent haul from Sephora! I’ll be walking you through everything that I purchased, and letting you know what I think of my new items!

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip

The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip collection is something that I’ve had my eye on for quite some time now. This mini collection contains two full sized, and four mini sized lip products from a variety of brands. They are all nude shades, and they are gorgeous! This was a great way for me to test out different lip formulas, and have a variety of new lip products without breaking the bank. I have been rotating using these every day, and honestly I really like all of them. The colors suit me well, and I feel as if Sephora did a great job picking out the most top quality formulas. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the Estée Edit lip liner. It feels a little dry, and not as creamy as I’d like it to be, but the color is great and can be used with any of the other nude lip colors in the collection. The set comes with the following lip products:

– Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb (beige nude)
– Buxom® Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian (nude)
– Estée Edit The Barest Contour lip Liner in 05 In The Buff (satin nude)
– Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème in 246 Slow Burn (creamy nude rose)
– Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick in Queen B (matte soft mauve)
– Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1993 Comfort Matte (medium brown)

The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip collection retails for $28.00, and can be found HERE.

Tarte Tarteist™ Treats Eye & Lip Set

The Tarte Tarteist Treats Eye & Lip Set was a no brainer for me. I had been wanting to try a few of their newer products and this seemed like the perfect way to do it for the best price. Additionally, I thought that this little set would be perfect for traveling because of the size. This set comes with an eye shadow palette, a mascara, and a lip gloss. The eye shadow palette really surprised me and it is by far my favorite thing in the set. The shadows are buttery, pigmented, and super high quality! It really makes me want to pull the trigger and purchase the full sized palette because I love the mini one so much. The mascara was really nice too. It has a lot of little spikes on the wand, which is great for separating your lashes and avoiding clumps. I tend to like a more natural, separated lash look, so this mascara is great for me, and I have had no issues with it clumping. The lip gloss was my least favorite. While I think the formula is really nice, and not very sticky, I’m not a huge fan of the color. I was hoping it would be a deeper berry shade, and it’s a little brighter than I’d like it to be. Altogether, I’m really glad that I purchased this set, and have been enjoying the products a ton! The set includes the following products:

– Tarteist PRO To GO Amazonian Clay Palette eyeshadow in Drive (nude), Stylin (brown), Boss (bronze), Hype (gold), Crisp (chestnut), Dominate (shimmering raspberry)
– Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in WCW (berry)
– Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara in Black

The Tarte Tarteist Treats Eye & Lip Set retails for $25.00, and can be found HERE.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

The next product that I purchased was something that I ran out of, and needed to restock on! This is one of my favorite products of all time, and I use it almost every day. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is a brush tip liner that is AMAZING for creating the perfect winged liner. I personally love winged liner, and I think that it adds the perfect finishing touch to your every day eye look. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner makes it effortless. I use the shade “Trooper”, which is the black shade. It is an item that I will purchase time and time again, and never get tired of! While it’s slightly pricey for an eyeliner compared to some other drug store options that are similar, I think that this one in particular is worth every penny.

The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner retails for $20.00, and can be found HERE.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel is something that I’ve always thought that I didn’t need, and boy was I wrong. I’ve struggled in the past with trying to keep my brow hairs in place throughout the day. I have used brow gels from cheaper brands, and thought that they were all the same. I never wanted to pull the trigger on the Anastasia brow gel, because I thought it wouldn’t be worth the price. I now understand why everyone is obsessed with this product. It truly does keep all of your brow hairs in place throughout the day, and doesn’t make them feel hard or leave a gross residue behind like some other brow gels do. I absolutely love this, and will definitely be purchasing this over and over again when I eventually run out.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel retails for $22.00, and can be found HERE.

Tarte Birthday Gift

Since it’s my birthday month, I got to redeem a free gift from Sephora! Yay for free stuff! This year, I got to redeem a Tarte blush and lip cream. The tarte blushes are something that I’ve loved for a long time. Tarte’s blushes are a staple in my collection, and they never cease to impress me. This one is no different! It is a beautiful peach nude shade that gives your cheeks the perfect flush of color. The lip cream that came with it is beautiful as well. It is a nude color as well, that goes great with the blush. I feel like I could wear this color every single day, and die happy. The formula is fairly long wearing, and feels super comfortable on the lips! This little birthday gift includes the following products:

– Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Birthday Suit
– Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty

The Tarte Birthday Gift is FREE to claim during your birthday month if you are a Sephora Beauty Insider. You can find it HERE.

Free Samples

We all know that if you order online, you can pick free samples from Sephora! The ones that I chose were the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Loose Powder, Benefit POREfessional: Matte Rescue Invisible Finish Mattifying Gel, and the Urban Decay Naked Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup and Optical Illusion Primer. Let me just say, I have never tried ANY of these products before, and was very excited to test them out. The Makeup Forever loose powder is absolutely my favorite translucent powder that I’ve ever tried. It makes my skin look so airbrushed and smooth and my pores look almost invisible. I will absolutely be purchasing the full sized product. I can no longer live without this powder. I was not super impressed with the POREfessional mattifying gel. I much prefer their POREfessional primer. I thought that the Urban Decay Naked foundation was nice for a light coverage, easy light makeup day. It felt very comfortable on the skin and did not get super oily or break up throughout the day. I absolutely LOVED the optical illusion primer, and would love to purchase a full sized one. It really cancelled out a lot of the redness on my face and gave me a smooth base to start with.

If you’ve tried any of these products, let me know what you think down in the comments below! As always, feel free to reach out to me, and share your thoughts!
