My box came a little late last month, so I’m just now sharing it with you! If you’ve never heard of Boxycharm, it is a monthly subscription box. The box is $21 per month, and guarantees you 4-5 full sized beauty products. Typically, the value of the box is well over $100 each month, making this an AMAZING deal. The theme of March’s box was “Creepy Cute.”
Naked Cosmetics Urban Rustic Eye Shadow Trio
The first product I received in my box was the Naked Cosmetics Urban Rustic Eye Shadow Trio. The quality of these shadows are really great. I thought that they had tons of pigment, and were easily blendable. They were all shimmers, so you can’t really complete an eyeshadow look with this palette. The colors, while very pretty, are not very wearable everyday colors. I think that this will come in handy when I’m doing a colorful, fun look, and I’m glad to have it in my collection.
RealHer Lip Liner – I am Precious
The next product I received in my box was the RealHer Lip Liner in I am Precious. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of this. It was kind of dry, and broke immediately after trying it on my lips. I re-sharpened and tried it again, and I am just not a fan of the formula or the color. I will probably not use it again, and will give it to my mom.
RealHer Matte Liquid Lipstick – I Deserve the Best
The next product I received in my box was the RealHer Matte Liquid Lipstick in I Deserve the Best. The color matched the lip liner, so again I was not crazy about it. Aside from that, I thought that this went on very streaky, and not very opaque. I was not a huge fan of this product, and think that Boxycharm has sent out better liquid lipstick formulas in the past.
Crown Brush Deluxe Fan Brush
The next product I received in my box was the Crown Brush Deluxe Fan Brush. This is by far my favorite thing in box! I cannot explain how much I adore this brush. It is massive, and absolutely perfect for bronzing/contouring, along with so many other things. It is multi-functional, and I have probably used it every day since I’ve received it!
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
The final product I received in my box was the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I have tried this product in the past, and I feel like it doesn’t do much for me. I don’t hate it, but I also don’t think it’s anything to write home about. Plus, this is travel sized rather than full size, so that was a bit of a bummer for me.
The total overall value of this box was about $102, which is amazing! While this box was well worth the $21, it wasn’t my personal favorite. I think that in the past I have received much better boxes, with much better products. The crown brush alone was worth the $21 for me because I use it every single day, but other than that, I don’t see myself using the rest of these products regularly. I can’t wait to see what April’s box holds!
