Empties! Would I Repurchase? | June 2017

Over the past couple of months, I’ve used up quite a few makeup and skincare products. I put together a few of them to share with you, and let you know my thoughts! Will I repurchase them or not? Let’s find out!

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel was something that I have been using for quite some time. I have naturally oily skin, so I try to stick with lightweight moisturizers to keep my skin hydrated. This one is extremely light, and was a perfect daytime moisturizer for me to wear under my makeup. It is priced at $18.99, which I believe is fair. Would I repurchase this again? Absolutely.

The NYX HD Finishing Powder is a product that I used up pretty quickly. I have recommended this to both my mom and my sister, and they both love it as much as I do. This is a very finely milled powder. I use the banana shade to set my under eyes, and I feel that it really gives me a great brightening effect. Priced at $10.00, this product is hard to beat, and it genuinely compares to high end pressed powders. Would I repurchase this again? Yes!

The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is a cult favorite in the beauty community. I have gone through bottles and bottles of this stuff! This particular one was a travel sized bottle. With my skin type being combo/oily, I think that this is the perfect setting spray for me, and I have yet to find one that keeps my makeup on as long as this one does. This product is priced at $15 for the travel size, and $31 for the full size. It is worth every penny. Would I repurchase this again? Over and over!

The Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe, herbs, and rose water was a new product for me. Prior to purchasing this, I had heard lots of great things about it. I figured I’d give it a try since my skin is moderately sensitive. Rose water and aloe are both very soothing on the skin, and I thought that this spray would do wonders for my skin. I really enjoyed using this in my skincare routine. It made my skin feel very refreshed, and I do think that it soothed some of my red and irritated areas. This spray is $7, which is extremely affordable for a skincare item. Would I repurchase this again? Yes, I think it’s worth adding to my skincare routine.

The Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre Light Sculpting Lipstick in the shade Hot Kiss is my all time favorite lipstick shade. I have honestly had this bad boy for years, and I can confidently say that it is the one and only lipstick that I’ve ever fully gone through. This shade is a little bit shimmery, and super sexy on the lips. Hot Kiss really is the perfect name for this shade, because it’s got a perfect level of sultry heat that just makes you feel instantly amazing when you put it on. The formula is smooth and glides on. This is priced at $32, which is a little pricey for a lip product, but I truly believe it’s worth it. Would I repurchase this again? I think the fact that I went through an entire tube of lipstick warrants a yes.

The Balm Meet Matte Hughes Lip Color in the shade Committed is a sample that I got in my Ipsy Glam Bag a few months back. I absolutely adore this shade, and the formula is very comfortable to wear. I find that it really lasts on my lips throughout the day. This has been one of my favorite pink Spring shades to wear recently. It makes my teeth look whiter, and brings a subtle pop of color to my face. These liquid lips are priced at $16. Would I repurchase this again? Yes, and I can’t wait to own the full size!

The Skone Cosmetics Brow Wand Eyebrow Pencil in Chocolate was another item that I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag. I used up this product fairly quickly like I do with most brow pencils. This is shaped very similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, however I think that this one is a lot more dry and less creamy. I would’ve liked this to glide on a little easier. With that said, it did the job of filling in my brows while it lasted.  The brow wand is priced at $20, which is on par with most high end brow pencils. Would I repurchase this again? Probably not, due to the fact that I personally like the Anastasia and Benefit brow pencils more.

The Benefit They’re Real Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara is the last empty item that I have. I absolutely adored this mascara. The claims are true, and I did find that it is both lengthening and volumizing. It is totally budge proof, and was actually difficult to remove at the end of the day, which I personally think is a good thing. What I really loved about this particular mascara is that it separated my lashes really well, and was not clumpy at all. This mascara is priced at $24. Would I repurchase this again? Maybe. I think that there are a lot of comparable drugstore mascaras that are more cost effective, but with that said, I do really enjoy this one.
