If you’ve never heard of Boxycharm, it is a monthly subscription box. The box is $21 per month, and guarantees you 4-5 full sized beauty products. Typically, the value of the box is well over $100 each month, making this an AMAZING deal. The theme of June’s box was “Downtown Charm.”
The first product I received in my box was the Ofra Liquid Lipstick in the shade Santa Ana. This is a beautiful berry toned pink/red. The formula of these liquid lipsticks are not drying on the lips, but they dry down to a perfect satin matte. These are very comfortable to wear, and they smell like cake! This shade in particular is not my favorite. I much prefer a nude, or a more brown toned shade, but I do think that this will be nice for special occasions and for summer.
The next product I received in my box was the RealHer Play Book Shadow Palette in Be Your Own Kind of Beauty. I haven’t been a huge fan of the RealHer products that Boxycharm has sent out in the past. This one has been slightly better for me. I didn’t like that the palette didn’t have a good warm transition shade, and I found myself having to dip into other palettes to create a complete look. With that said, I think that some of the shimmer shades were nice, and I may use this palette occasionally.
The next product I received in my box was the Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder by Angel Merino in the shade Illuminati. When I saw that this was going to be included in the box, I was SO excited. I have been dying to try Artist Couture’s diamond glow powders for quite some time now. At first, I was really thrown off when I tried using the powder dry. It is an EXTREMELY sparkly powder. Typically when I use a highlighter, I like it to be smooth and wet looking. When I used this the second time, I wet the brush with a little bit of setting spray, and it completely transformed the product into a stunning golden glow on my cheekbones. It is very intense, and a little bit goes a long way. This is, by far, my favorite thing in the box this month.
The next product I received in my box was the Luxie Rose Gold Precision Tapered Face Brush 640. Up until now, I have never met a Luxie brush I didn’t like. I could definitely see this brush working for someone who does not like to apply a lot of blush or highlight, however, I typically like a heavier application. It is very flexible and designed to apply a very light dusting of product. I will not be using it for blush or highlight, however, I think that it is a great brush for dusting away excess setting powder, and I will most likely use it for that!
Value: $15.00 ($5 each)
The final product I received in my box was the Biobelle Facial Masks. In the box this months, we received 3 different sheet masks from Biobelle. I absolutely LOVE getting skincare products in my Boxycharm boxes, and I was really excited to be getting sheet masks. Personally, I use sheet masks all the time after I get out of the shower, and I love that each mask caters to something different. The three masks that I got are the beauty secret moisturizing mask, the 5-minute priming mask, and the I woke up like this glow mask. The most exciting one for me is probably the priming mask. I have never seen a priming sheet mask before, and I am really excited to try that!
The total overall value of this box was about $114, which is amazing! This box was well worth the $21, and I think that Boxycharm knocked it out of the park with the June box. I will definitely be using these products a lot this month, and I am MOST excited to use my diamond glow powder more! I can’t wait to see what July’s box holds!
