Let me take you back three months. I was newly engaged, excited about life, and my birthday was coming up. I thought it would be nice to have my hair trimmed up on my birthday, as a little gift to myself. Yes, that’s right, I said TRIMMED. My hair was a little bit past my shoulders, and I wanted to clean up the ends. No big deal, right?…. WRONG. When I sat down for my haircut, I tilted my head down so that he could trim up the back. When I looked up, the majority of my hair was on the floor, and it was already too late to turn back. Needless to say, I wasn’t thrilled.
I had never had hair this short in my life, and I really didn’t ever want to. I originally thought about putting in extensions, but they are a very expensive option, and my hair was SO short, that it would’ve been difficult to make them look natural. At one point, I tried clip in extensions, but they left my scalp covered in heavy metal clips that were agonizing by the end of the day. I decided at that point that my only option was to suck it up and let it grow, but I missed the heck out of my hair, and wanted it to grow back fast!
Luckily, one of my coworkers recommended a product to me that she claimed helped her grow out a pixie cut (which is basically what I was dealing with, regardless of my denial). I was desperate and willing to try anything. So I went on Amazon, and I ordered the VitaFusion Extra Strength Biotin for hair, skin, and nails. They are fruity gummies that you are supposed to take twice per day, and they claim to help the growth of new hair, skin, and nails. Sign me up!
For the past three months, I have religiously taken two of these each morning. I have now been through two full bottles of this stuff, and let me tell you, it works like a charm. I went from crying over my botched hair that was cut up to my ears, to having an adorably grown out shoulder length bob. I firmly believe that I have Biotin to thank for that. I would’ve still been struggling with my unwanted haircut if it hadn’t been for Biotin.
