If you’ve never heard of Boxycharm, it is a monthly subscription box. The box is $21 per month, and guarantees you 4-5 full sized beauty products. Typically, the value of the box is well over $100 each month, making this an AMAZING deal. The theme of August’s box was “Beach Please.”
The first product I received in my box was the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea eyeshadow palette in Vol II. This palette has really great neutral colors, perfect for every day looks. It has a few dark shades as well if you like more of a night time smokey eye. The shadows themselves are very creamy and blendable, and have absolutely no fall out. They work great on the eyes, and I see myself reaching for this palette a lot.
The next product I received in my box was the Royal & Langnickel Moda Pro brush set. These brushes are very high quality in my opinion. They extremely soft, and I could tell immediately that I was going to love them. The large pointed fluffy brush (BMX-130) is an excellent powder/blush/contour brush. It is very precise, and blends like a dream. The chiseled angled brush (BMX-250) is very dense, and great for contouring your cheekbones. The fluffy crease brush (BMX-430) blends shadows perfectly in the crease of your eye with ease! I absolutely adore these brushes and will probably reach for them daily.
The next product I received in my box was the Pur Cosmetics Pro Eyelashes in the style Diva. These are absolutely beautiful. They are nicely separated and long, but not overly dramatic. I think that they would be perfect for adding a lash to a look where you want to still showcase your eyeshadow. A lot of lashes that I own are tightly packed, and it’s hard to see the eyeshadow through them. These are just the perfect amount of lash that will add a flare, but you’ll still be able to see your beautiful eyeshadow work behind them.
The next product I received in my box was The Beauty Crop #GRLPOWER liquid lipstick in the shade date night. This is an absolutely beautiful warm rust shade that would be flattering on just about any skin tone. The formula is very thin, and it dries down extremely matte. If you don’t like a strong matte lipstick, this isn’t the one for you, but if you like your lips to stay matte and stay on all day, you will love this. I really love the color, and will be wearing it often, even though the formula is a little bit more uncomfortable to wear.
The final product I received in my box was the BellaPierre gel eyeliner in the shade Ebony. I think that this liner glides on really nicely. It doesn’t tug at the eye as you put it on, and it is extremely pigmented. It is very creamy and very black. Of course I will be reaching for this often. What more could you ask for in an eyeliner?
The total overall value of this box was about $106, which is amazing! This box was well worth the $21, and I think that Boxycharm knocked it out of the park with the August box, as always. I will definitely be using these products a lot this month, and I am truly excited about each and every product this month, especially the Tarte palette! I can’t wait to see what September’s box holds!
